PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on patient care and nursing related issues. Works effectively as a team member in a dynamic executive environment in a matrix organization and promotes teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem-solving skills. Collaborates with the Regional Chief Nursing Officer & Regional Chief Clinical Officer and other key stakeholders to lead and support population health efforts.
- Oversees human resource management for the assigned area creating a culture of employee engagement. Ensures HR policies are administered consistently across function. Organizes department through appropriate structure and delegation of functions. Identifies succession planning needs within the team.
- Facilitator of internal collaborative professional relationships between and among Ambulatory/Medical Group providers, leaders, and staff. Foster collaboration between the Ambulatory/Medical Group, academic programs, and hospital operations for the purpose of creating a healing and supportive environment for patients and staff. Promotes team building and collaboration. Motivates, encourages, and empowers staff to achieve personal, organizational and team goals. Recognizes accomplishment. Encourages and provides opportunity for staff input and feedback regarding improvement opportunities.
- Responsible and accountable for establishing and maintaining clinical quality excellence in nursing practice, as well as effectiveness and efficiency of nursing operations within defined areas of responsibility; enhances value in all clinical services by increasing quality, constructing cost effective care delivery models and improve operational efficiencies
- Responsible for outpatient nursing practice and education assuring safe, reliable, and efficient care delivery that is based on evidenced based practice.
- Regularly displays and encourages ethical behavior in the areas of business ethics, legal compliance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, vendor relationships and the reporting of questionable activities. Serves as a role model and mentor to nursing leaders.
- Maintains knowledge and achieves compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, licensure, accreditation requirements, record procedures and internal controls. Regularly informs and updates staff on organizational and industry issues.
- Works to continuously improve patient services while enhancing service to patients and optimizing relationships with business partners.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Eight years nursing experience, with four years in leadership
