The Sr. Tax Accountant, prepares moderate to complex Federal and State tax returns, estimates, and extensions filed for the consolidated group and affiliates including preparation of accurate tax work papers. Supports tax planning and tax research initiatives as needed. Provides quarterly and annual Accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740) support as needed including return to provision analysis, valuation allowance calculations and FIN 48 analysis. Provides IRS and State audit support as necessary. Reviews and analyzes the impact of proposed and enacted legislation as required. Performs other tasks as necessary.
Tax Compliance Reporting:
Prepares and documents accurate tax work papers for all moderate to complex income and franchise tax returns.
Prepares Federal income and State income and franchise tax returns.
Includes preparation of Partnership returns.
Provides all tax returns and work papers for detailed review and approval by department management
State Tax Estimate and Extension Compliance
Prepares State tax estimates as assigned.
Provides State tax estimates for detailed review and approval by department management
Supports Tax planning and tax research initiatives.
Accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740)
Provides quarterly and annual support as necessary including return to provision reconciliations, valuation allowance calculations and FIN 48 analysis.
IRS and State Audits
Provides support as necessary.
Reviews proposed and enacted legislation to determine impact including modeling and proper GAAP treatment as well as implementing changes to the company's systems to maintain compliance with any tax law changes.
