Mercy Clinic - Head & Neck Surgery in Springfield, Missouri is recruiting a third Head and Neck surgeon to join our well-established practice. Fellowship training in head and neck surgery and microvascular reconstruction is required and we are open to new trainees or experienced surgeons. Mercy offers a robust cancer program with eight Medical Oncologists, three Radiation Oncologists, multidisciplinary tumor boards, dedicated Head and Neck nurse navigator, Speech Pathology and more. There is close collaboration with the Otolaryngology Department which includes fellowship trained Neurotology/Otology, Skull Base and Facial Plastic Surgeons, etc.

• Head and Neck Surgery with approximately 50% reconstructive and 50% ablative
• High volume thyroid/parathyroid referral practice
• Very supportive and experienced Otolaryngology partners for call and strong work/life balance
• Head & Neck team includes dedicated NP/PAs to help in OR and clinic
• Other specialties with whom the head and neck team frequently interacts are: cardiothoracic surgery, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, among others.
• Efficient ambulatory surgery center & clinic office suite on main hospital campus
• Ample block time in the ORs, surgery center, in-office procedures
• Office ultrasound, transnasal esophagoscopy, biopsy flexible laryngoscopy, laryngeal videostroboscopy and Procedure rooms available in the office
• Large catchment area > 1.5 million lives

• Strong compensation plan with realistic earnings in 75-90%ile dependent on desired level of wRVU production
