SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Penn State Health Medical Group – Middletown office is located minutes outside of Hummelstown and sees, on average, 150-180 patients a day. This office houses several specialties including: Adult and Pediatrics Rheumatology, Neurology, GI, Dermatology, Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), Bariatrics and Family Medicine.
Operating on a day-time schedule during the weekday, the selected LPN will have a mix of clinical and clerical duties to oversee. In the clinical capacity, you will be preparing rooms and rooming patients, quality/point-of-care labs, and assisting providers with in-house procedures. As far as clerical duties include, you will be monitoring messages from patients and providers, stocking rooms, and assisting with phone calls from patients. Middletown is seeking an LPN who is a strong communicator and works both independently, and in a team-setting.Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma
Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand & sit constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs. frequently; 21-75 lbs. occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
